ChatGPT and other Generative AI tools

What is Generative AI?

Generative AI or GenAI is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that uses machine learning algorithms to recognize patterns and produce output, such as text, codes, images, audio, and videos, based on prompts input by users. These algorithms run on vast amounts of training data to create machine learning models, such as large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT. Generative AI can be used in numerous ways from content creation to problem solving.

Some examples of generative AI tools are ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Github Copilot, Gemini (formerly Google Bard)... and many more!

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is, according to ChatGPT itself, “a computer program created by OpenAI that can understand and generate text like a human. It has been trained on a huge amount of text, so it can respond to questions and have conversations in a way that sounds natural. For example, if you ask ChatGPT a question, it will use what it has learned to generate a response that makes sense and is relevant to your question. This can make it easier and more enjoyable for people to communicate with technology.”
